Massage Therapy

What is Massage Therapy?

Massage therapy is a modality that involves rubbing the soft tissues of the body (eg. muscles). Registered Massage Therapists (RMTs) typically apply pressure using their hands, forearms and elbows throughout the various soft tissues throughout the body, particularly the ones that are causing you concern. RMTs are trained to evaluate your individual health needs and create treatment plans designed to target those needs.

Conditions that Massage Therapy Can Treat:

Anxiety and depression

Fatigue

Headaches and migraines

Pain, including muscle tension, back, shoulder and neck pain

Repetitive stress injuries

& more!

What to Expect

Initial Consultation & Treatment: 30-60 minutes

Subsequent Treatments: 30 - 90 minutes

During your initial visit, your RMT will discuss your initial health concerns with you. From there, they will assess your specific soft tissue and musculoskeletal conditions and work with you to develop the most appropriate treatment plan. They will help predict the likelihood and timeline of your recovery, provide active or passive hands-on therapy, and provide you with some patient education and exercises that can be performed at home in between appointments.

Our RMTs are the best of the best and have undergone significant training throughout their careers. You can rest assured you’re in the best hands when visiting our practitioners.
