Naturopathic Medicine

What is Naturopathic Medicine?

With whole patient wellness at the forefront of this modality, naturopathic medicine combines the wisdom of nature with modern science. Naturopathic doctors (NDs) receive training as primary care providers who can diagnose, treat and manage patients. Conditions can range from acute to chronic, and patients may be of all ages and genders. NDs work through health promotion and disease prevention, all while ensuring they address the underlying cause of the patient’s condition. With the ability to provide individualized therapies for each patient, they are able to find balance to achieve the most effective approach to optimal health. NDs are experts in natural medicine which allows them to have a unique outlook on a patient’s overall health and wellness.

What to Expect

Initial Visit: 60-90 minutes

Follow Up Visits: 30-45 minutes

When you arrive at your first appointment, our Naturopathic Doctor will ask to see any past labs, diagnostic results, medication, and/or supplements you are taking. Together, you will discuss your current health concerns, your past medical history and assess your health goals so that Dr. Spencer can really get to know you. By the end of your visit, you’ll be given options on where to begin addressing your goals, which may include laboratory requisitions, test kits, lifestyle/nutritional advice, or other treatment recommendations.
